Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara

OMG!! I must say this is the best mascara that I have ever used before. My lashes look awesome! This mascara is not clumpy. It does not take more than one coat. It is also not cakey or heavy feeling on your lashes.

I don't use a lot of mascara because I wear glasses. Much of the time no one notices anyhow. However, with Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara, I was noticed!! Everyone commented on how nice my eyes were. They seemed to pop when I wore this mascara!! I would definitely recommend this product to everyone!!

All I had to do is take the applicator out and put it on like normal mascara. It fanned, lengthened, and made the lashes amazing!! Love it!!! I also was lucky enough to receive this through Influenster to try for free.

Dr. Scholl's® For Her Cozy Cushions

What can I say about Dr. Scholl's For Her Cozy Cushions? I LOVE them!! They are soft and fuzzy. They have kept my feet nice and warm in my winter boots, and they have kept my feet dry too. They are easy to use. You just cut them to your shoe size and slip them in your shoes, boots, or whatever you usually wear. I have been using them daily now since I have received a pair through Influenster to try for free. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to use these, because I would probably never have picked them up for myself. I rarely buy things for ME, so this was so nice to receive.

I would seriously consider purchasing these especially if you live in the North. Winter is coming, and I HATE cold feet. Cozy Cushions seriously keep your feet nice and toasty. I am looking forward to the snow now that I know my feet will stay warm. Thanks again Influenster for allowing me to try for free.

Global Green USA Green School Makeover Competition Presented by Pureology

Pureology (http://www.pureology.com/) is hoping to help make our children's schools greener. There is a contest going on where you can submit an application in order to win a green makeover for your child's school. There are a lot of benefits to a green learning environment. I don't know about you, but I would love for my children to have the benefit of learning in a green school.  

It is said that children who go to a green school have a higher student performance. They seem to learn better when some of the pollutants and other issues are out of the school. There are also more funds for schools to use for textbooks, computers, and other technology that could help benefit a learning environment. It is amazing what technology can do for our children. Money is saved on utilities for schools when they go green. The schools carbon footprint is also reduced. This will allow our future children to live in a better world. There will be less pollution and less waste in our landfills. 

This contest is important to me, because I would love for my children to learn in a green environment. There are just so many benefits, and I know that this will also teach them ways to help keep our planet cleaner. It would be a great learning experience for them.  

How do we enter?

Between January 1 to March 31, 2013, visit Pureology.com/GreenSchools. There you will be able to submit an application to win a green makeover. It is a very simple form to fill out, but you should do some research on green ideas for schools. It would help you come up with some ideas to make your child's school greener. 

Dino Lingo

What is Dino Lingo? Dino Lingo is a program that will help your child learn a different language. There are a lot of different languages to choose from. Some of the languages are: Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, and Polish. Many children are learning a language in school as young as kindergarten. Being bilingual is becoming more and more popular in the United States. Is it that easy to actually teach your child a new language? How would this be accomplished?

Dino Lingo is an interactive language learning program for children. 
Fueled by a child's own imagination, kids learn a new language through interactive teaching techniques that incorporate play and storytelling and encourage your child to start speaking it almost immediately.  I must say that while looking around the website, this program is very child friendly. It features dinosaurs and other animals, bright colors, simple formatting, and repetition. I even watched a few of their video takes on Youtube. I must say it is very cute and very creative. My youngest son  and I previewed a video on Spanish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz5SLt5u4Oc&feature=colike. I can see children wanting to interact and play along with the dinosaurs and other animals. Alex seemed really into watching the video, and he was a little disappointed that it was over when it ended.

This program would make a great Christmas gift for the upcoming holiday season. Why not get your child a gift that keeps on giving. Let them accelerate ahead of their peers. Knowing a second language opens all sorts of opportunities down the road.

For anyone who has never heard of Influenster, you have no idea what you are missing! I joined Influenster about a year ago, and I must say that I have never loved a site more than this one. Influenster sends members voxboxes full of products to test. I have received three in the past year. I was lucky enough to try the Holiday 2011 voxbox, Love Voxbox 2012, and I had a special voxbox that contained Palmolive Dish Soap to test out as well.

On this site, after you receive and test out the products in your voxbox, you go back to the Influenster site and do a review of the products. These can be done a few different ways. You can do a written review or a video review. You can even do both types of reviews. You will earn badges for the more things you do. It really is great to be able to test out something and give your honest opinion about it. I must say that I enjoy having a voice in this huge world of companies.

Well, Influenster just redesigned their site a little while ago, and it is even better than before. There is so much more to do on the site. You can answer people's questions, write product reviews, and earn badges. I must say that the design and layout is very eye catching and very pleasing as well. You have got to go and check out this site. I know you will like it at least as much as I do!!

My name is Katie and I am embarking on my blogging journey. I am here to give my opinions on awesome products that I have used or will be using. I have a family of four, 2 boys, my hubby, and myself. We live in Pennsylvania, and are pretty happy living here.
